Given:-

  • Length of sides of Square = 30m

  • Width of Path = 1m

  • Rate of Construction Per m² = $15

To Find:-

  • The Cost of Constructing the Path.

Formulae used:-

  • Area of Square = ( Side )²

Now,

→ Area of Square ( x ) = ( Side )²

→ Area of Square ( x ) = ( 30)²

→ Area of Square = 900m²

Atq

1m wide path is built inside a square park along sides.

→ New Side of square = 30 - 1 - 1 → 28m

Therefore,

→ Area of Inner Square ( y ) = ( Side )²

→ Area of Inner Square = ( 28 )²

→ Area of Inner Square = 784m²

Hence,

→ Area of Path = x - y

→ Area of Path = 900 - 784

→ Area of Path = 116m²

It is given that:-

Rate of Constructing Per m² = $ 70

→ Cost of Constructing 116m² Path = 70 × 116

→ $ 8120

Therefore, The Cost is $8120.

Given :

  • A path 1 m wide is built inside a square park of side 30 m along its sides.

To find :

  • What is the area of the path. Calculate the cost of constructing the path at the rate of 70 per m².

Calculations :

→ 30 (30)

→ 900 [Area of square]

→ 30 - 1 - 1

→ 28 [Area of inner square]

→ 28 (28)

784 [Area of inner square]

→ 900 - 784

116 [Area of path]

→ 116 (70)

8,120 [Cost of constructing the path]
