2. A pen holder made up of a cardboard is in the shape of a cylinder with a
base of radius 2 cm and height 10 cm. Find the area of the cardboard
required to make 15 pen holders.​

total surface area of cylinder = 2πr (h+r)

=2x22÷7x2 (10+2)

= 88÷7x12

= 150.857143

total surface area of 15 cylinders

= 150.857143 x 15

=2262.85715
