Given : A rectangular plot of land measures 95 m by 72m Inside the plot a path of uniform width of 3.5 cm is to be constructing the path at ₹ 80 per m and laying the grass at ₹ 40 per m.

To find : The cost of construction?

Solution :

Length of the rectangle 95 m

breadth of the rectangle = 72 m

Area of the rectangular plot is

A = 102 \times 79 \\ A = {8058m}^{2}

Area of path = (8058 - 6840)m² =1218 m²

Cost of construction at ₹80/m²= ₹80 × 1218 = ₹ 97440

Cost of laying grass at ₹40/m²= ₹ 40 × 8058 =₹ 322320
