Explanation:

The coding strand is non template strand which runs in 5'-3' direction and it has not transcribed to mRNA . template strand or non coding strand which runs in 3'-5' direction is transcribed to mRNA in 5'-3' direction. The mRNA has same nucleotide sequence as coding strand but the Thymine (T) nucleotide is replaced by Uracil(U) in mRNA .
