  • A right triangle with sides 3 cm, 4 cm and 5 cm is rotated about the side of 3 cm to form a cone.

  • The volume of the cone so formed.

We are having,

  • Side 1 = 3 cm

  • Side 2 = 4 cm

  • Side 3 = 5 cm

The height of cone = 3 cm

So, the radius becomes the side measuring 4 cm

➝ v =  \dfrac{\pi \: r {}^{2} \: h }{3}

➝ v =  \dfrac{\pi \times 4 \times 4 \times 3 }{3}

➝ v =  \dfrac{\pi \times 16 \times 3 }{3}

v = 16 π cm³
