Given,

Length of Road = 4 Km 800m

Converting into meter = (4×1000 + 800)m

= 4800m

Distance between two trees = 9.6m = 96/10

So,

No. of trees planted= 4800 ÷ 96/10

= 4800 × 10/96

= 500

Thus,

There were 500 trees were planted...
