Answer:

cost of 100 eggs=250Rs

therefore cost of 1 egg=(250/100)Rs=2.5 Rs

now 10 eggs are broken..

so the number of good eggs=90 pcs

now he sold eggs at the rate of 40 Rs/dozen

therefore....

selling price of 12 pcs eggs=40 Rs

so, selling price of 90 eggs

=[(40/12)×90]Rs

=300 Rs

therefore total profit=(300-250)Rs=50Rs

Answer: ₹54

Given:

\sf Shopkeeper\;bought\;300\;eggs\;for\;450.\;Out\;of\;these\;12\;were\;broken.

\sf He\;sold\;remaining\;eggs\;at\;the\;rate\;of\;21\;per\;dozen.

To find:

\sf Profit\:made\:by\:the\:shopkeeper.

Explanation:

\sf Given\;that,

\sf Cost\:of\:300\:eggs=Rs.450

\sf Out\:of\:300\:eggs,\:12\:eggs\:are\:broken.

\sf \therefore 300-12=288\:good\:eggs

\sf Now,\:the\:shopkeeper\:sold\:288\:eggs\:at\:the\:rate\:of\:Rs.21\:per\:dozen.

\sf We\:know\:that,

\sf 1\:dozen=12\:units

\sf Selling\:price\:of\:12\:eggs=Rs.21

\sf \therefore\:selling\:price\:of\:288\:eggs=\dfrac{21}{12}\times288

                                       \sf =Rs.504

\sf \therefore \:total\:profit=Selling\:price-Cost\:price

                    \sf =504-450

                    \sf =\boxed{\sf Rs.54}

Hence, the shopkeeper made a profit of ₹54.
