2. A stone attains a momentum of 1 kg m/s when it flies with a velocity of 2 m/s, then what will be
mass of the stone?

Ans :
momentum=1kg/ms
velocity=2m/s
momentum =mass X velocity
m=1kgm/s /2m/s
=0.5kg

Answer :

Given : P = 1 kg m/s v = 2 m/s

Momentum of the stone P = mv

∴ Mass of stone m = P / v = 1 / 2 = 0.5 kg = 500 g
