A teacher has a dynamic role in the overall development of a child, in the following way -

  • In the life of a child, the influence of his/her teacher starts from a very young age, as the formal education also starts from the young age itself.
  • Now, we know that the young age is the character building phase of anyone's life. All the good traits or bad traits are directly or indirectly being acquired in this young age.
  • So, in such crucial life building phase of a child, a good influence is always necessary to drive the whole matter towards a positive outcome. This positive influence is none other than, the teacher of a child.
  • We know, syllabus based formal education is generally given by the teachers, but the moral education, socio-emotional aspects are also driven by the teachers. Here, the socio-emotional aspect refers to the core development of one's significant emotions, required to perform well in the social matters and moral development is self explanatory.
  • By arranging group activities, inspiring to help other classmates, giving priority to the development of moral values etc. ,the teacher initiates character development of a child from a basic stage.
