Answer :

  • The weight of the potatoes 4 kg 425 g.

Given :

  • Aakash bough vegetables weighing 10 kg.
  • 3 kg 500 g are onions.
  • 2 kg 75 g are tomatoes and rest are potatoes.

To Find :

  • The weight of the potatoes = ?

Solution :

Le the weight of the potato be x.

We know that,

The total given weight is 10 kg.

To find he weight of the potato = ?

Simple equation will be :

Weight of onion + weight of tomatoes + x = total weight.

➠ 3.5 + 2.075 + x = 10.

➠ 5.575 + x = 10

➠ x = 10 - 5.575

➠ x = 4.425

➠ x = 4 kg 425 g.

\therefore The weight of the potatoes will be 4 kg 425 g.

⏩Given,

Total weight of vegetables is 10kg

Out of this

Weight of Onions = 3kg500g

Weight of Tomatoes =2kg75g

Weight of potatoes=?

⏩So, Total weight = Wt of onions+wt of tomatoes+wt of potatoes

⏩10kg = 3kg500g+2kg75g+wt of potatoes

⏩Wt of potatoes = 10kg-5kg575 g

Wt of potatoes = 4kg 425 g
