2.

  1. He couldn't speak further, could he?
  2. The goal was to achieve perfection, wasn't it?
  3. We often watch TV in the afternoon, don't we?
  4. Shekhar will visit the hospital, won't he?
  5. I am responsible for all the chaos, ain't I?

The addition of a question tag changes a statement from affirmative to interrogative.

While doing so the following points should be kept in mind-

  1. Since it is an interrogative sentence, obviously there should be an addition of the question mark (?) at the end of the statement.
  2. The intended meaning must not be altered in any way.
  3. Generally, either wh-word like 'who, where, whom, when,' etc or words like 'couldn't he, isn't it, can't they ', etc are added to change a statement into an interrogative sentence.
