Given : Adjacent sides of a rectangle are 7 cm and 24 cm.
- Length = 24 cm.
- Breadth = 7 cm.
To Find :
- The diagonal of the rectangle.
Solution :
Reference of fiq.
Taking ∆ ABC
We have,
- AB (base) = 24 cm.
- BC (perpendicular) = 7 cm.
- CA (hypotenuse) = ?
Using Pythagoras Theorem : H²=P²+B² .
AC² = BC² + AB²
⟹ AC² = 7² + 24²
⟹ AC² = 49 + 576
⟹ AC² = 625
⟹ AC = √625
⟹ AC = 25cm.
- Hence, the value of diagonal is 25cm
