Determine whether the triangle whose lengths of sides are 15 cm, 20 cm and 25 cm is a right angled triangle or not.

Answer :-

To check whether the triangle is right angled triangle, we can check that sum of squares of two smaller side must be equal to square of third side.

For the following triangle -

\sf (15)^2 + (20)^2 = (25)^2

\sf 225 + 400 = 625

\sf 625 = 625

Here, we can see that sum of square of two sides is equal to the square of third side.

Hence, the triangle is right angled triangle.

◆ checking by Pythagoras theorem,

(Hypotenuse)² = (Base)² + (perpendicular)²

(25)² = (15)² + (20)²

Since, LHS = RHS

Hence,I5cm, 20cm and 25cm form sides of a right angled triangle.
