supporting cable is 50,oooN. Find the
upward acceleration. How far does it
rise in a time of 10 sec starting

Answer:
The elevator of 5000kg is moving up
Force applied by gravity (Fg) = 5000 × 10 = 50000.
It is given that tension(T) in support cable is 50000
So, no external force is applied acceleration is 0
Proof :- Fnet = T-mg = 50000 - 50000 =0
We know that Fnet = ma.
So, ma = 0 => a = 0
There is no acceleration, so displacement after 10s = 0.
Hope it helps.
