So the answer is that it is pink in color. The chlorine gas obtained as the byproduct in the chlor alkali process by electrolysing brine (aqeous solution of sodium chloride ) is used for manufacturing bleaching powder by passing the obtained chlorine gas over dry slaked lime i.e calcium hydroxide.
