Explanation:

1) MONARCHY- monarchy is a form of government in which a person, the monarch, is head of state for life or until abdication. The political legitimacy and authority of the monarch may vary from purely symbolic (crowned republic), to restricted (constitutional monarchy), to fully autocratic (absolute monarchy), and can expand across the domains of the executive, legislative and judicial. A monarchy can be a polity through unity, personal union, vassalage or federation, and monarchs can carry various titles such as king, queen, emperor, Raja, khan, caliph, tsar, sultan, or shah.

DEMOCRATIC-A democracy can be defined as a government system with supreme power placed in the hands of the people. It can be traced back to as early as the fifth century B.C. In fact, the word democracy is Greek for “people power”. While most use the United States as an example of a democratic government system, the United States actually has what is called a representative democracy. The difference lies in the method of civilian participation. In a direct democracy, every citizen is given an equal say in the government. In a representative democracy, citizens elect representatives who make the law. The difference is significant when put into action. Other examples of democratic states include Aruba, Bulgaria, Canada, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.

2) A republic is a system where officials, and heads of state, are elected (directly or indirectly) democratically, typically by a legally/constitutionally defined set of the country’s population (for example, citizens over 18). This is in contrast to a constitutional monarchy, where there are elected officials making legislative decisions, but the head of state would be a monarch. This is all a republic is. You can pretty much stop reading right now, and have the correct definition of a republic. The rest of the information I’m offering in this post is for greater clarity, around political systems.

3) Under the Third Republic the middle and lower sectors of society came to share political and social dominance with the rich notables. Universal suffrage gave them a new political weapon; France’s peculiar socioeconomic structure gave them political weight.
