cost of video cassette =y

2x+3y = 425⇒2x =425-3y

⇒x = (425-3y)/2-----(1)
substitute (1) in (2)

3x+2y = 350----(2)

3 [425-3y]/2 + 2y = 350

3(425-3y) +4y = 2*350

1275 -9y +4y =700

-5y =700-1275

-5y = -575

y = (-575)/(-5)

y= 115

plug y=115 in (1)
x= (425-3*115)/2

x= (425 -345)/2

x= 80/2
x=40
therefore
cost of each audio cassette = x = Rs 40

cost of each video cassette = y = Rs 115
