This poem shows, sense of Humor of the Author Mr.Gareth Owen ,where he describes the relationship with his sister, Betty. He recalls betty's fantasy of becoming a sad Actress where he wrote; Famous actresses always look unhappy but beautiful. In addtion, he express Betty's cuteness in this poem in the line Last year she was going to be a missionary
Betty feels famous actress should have qualities like 'losing there state of control' and behaves in an unsual manner like screaming, hurting themself. Meantime we can observe the negligence from her brother by his reaction.
When she pretend to be dead by saying "the best thing about famous actress is that You die a lot" , the brother says, "you really look like a famous actress", just to make her leave the room.
The author concludes the poem by saying , in real life its not that much fun to have famous actress for a sister.
