2-Bromo 2-MethylButane + alc .KOH + heat ---> 2 - MethylBut-2-ene ( Major ) + KBr + H2O

Since, in this reaction, hydrogen and halogen atoms are removed from beta and alpha carbon respectively. Therefore, this reaction is known as dehydrohalogenation reaction ( here, Beta elimination reaction.)
