Question ::-

2. Calculate the area of a trapezium in cm-, lengths of whose parallel sides (represented by

(iv) a = 8.5 cm, b = 3.4 cm, h 6cm

Given ::-

  • Lengths of parallel sides = 8.5cm , 3.4cm

  • Height = 6cm

To find ::-

  • Area of trapezium ?

Formula used ::-

area \:  \:  \:  \:   = \dfrac{(a + b)}{2}h

Solution ::-

 \:  \:  \:  \:   = \dfrac{(a + b)}{2}h

 \:  \:  \:  \:   = \dfrac{(8.5 + 3.4)}{2} \times 6

 \:  \:  \:  \:   = \dfrac{(11.9)}{2} \times 6

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 37.5cm

Hence , Area = 37.5cm
