Given

  • Current ,I = 4 A

  • Time taken ,t = 1 s

To Find:-

  • No. of electrons

Solution:-

Firstly we calculate the Charge Flows through the wire .

As we know relationship between Current , Time & Charge

I = Q/t

substitute the value we get

→ 4 = Q/1

→ Q = 4 C

Charge through the wire is 4 coulomb.

Now, Calculating the Number of electrons.

Using Formula

Q = ne

where ,

Q is the Charge

n is the number of electrons

e is the charge of electron ( 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ )

Substitute the value we get

→ 4 = 1.6×10⁻¹⁹ × e

→ e = 4/1.6×10⁻¹⁹

→ e = 4×10¹⁹/1.6

→ e = 2.5 × 10¹⁹

Therefore, the number of electrons is 2.5×10¹ electrons.

Answer:

2.5 × 10^19 electrons

Explanation:

Total no. of electrons = Total charge ÷ Charge of electron

= I × t ÷ 1.6 × 10^-19

= 4A × 1 sec ÷ 1.6 × 10^-19

= 4C ÷ 1.6 × 10^-19

= 2.5 ×10 ^19 electrons
