Given

l = Length = 0.08 m

t = Thickness = 15 mm

w = Width = 0.8 mm

\rho = Resistivity of copper = 1.7 \times10^{-8}\ \Omega\text{m}

To find

Resistance of the strip

Solution

A = Area = wt

Resistivity is given by

\rho=R\dfrac{A}{l}\\\Rightarrow R=\rho\dfrac{l}{A}\\\Rightarrow R=\rho\dfrac{l}{wt}\\\Rightarrow R=\dfrac{1.7\times10^{-8}\times 0.08}{15\times 10^{-3}\times0.8\times 10^{-3}}\\\Rightarrow R=0.0001133\ \Omega

The resistance of the copper strip is 0.0001133\ \Omega
