• These are simple , Eukaryotic, non green, heterotrophic ,multicellular organisms.
• Cell wall is made up of chitin .
• They are known photosynthetic.
• Most of them are saprophytes as they feed on dead and decaying organic matter.
• They stored food as glycogen.
