2 cm high object is placed at a distance of 20 cm from a concave mirror. The image is real, inverted and 3 cm in size. Find the focal length of the mirror and the position of the image.​

Image is inverted

m = image height / object height

= -3/2 = 1.5 cm

object distance is u=-32 cm

m=-v/u

- 1.5 = v/- 32

Position of object from lens is v = -48 cm

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

1/f = 1/ -48 + 1/ - 32

f = -19.2 cm
