Acc. To me,

Suppose theta is --->@

2(cos^2@-sin^2@)=1

[Formula=cos^2@-sin^2@=cos2@]

2cos2@=1

cos2@=1/2

2@=cos inverse 1/2

@=1/2(cos inverse 1/2)

I hope It little helps you

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y

= 2sin^2 θ + 2cos^2 θ + 1

= 2 ( sin^2 θ + cos^2 θ ) + 1

= 3
