hiii!!!
here's ur answer...
ATQ,
we have to find the TSA of the resulting cuboid after joining two cubes of volume 8cm³ each.
volume of the cube = 8cm³
therefore side³ = 8cm³
==> side = ³√8
==> side = 2
VERIFICATION :-
volume of the cube = side³
= 2 × 2 × 2
= 8cm³
hence verified
thus the side of the cube is 2cm.
if we join two cube of side 2cm, the length of the resulting cuboid will be = 2 + 2 = 4cm.
breadth of the cuboid = 2cm
height of the cuboid = 2cm
TSA of the resulting cuboid = 2 ( lb + bh + lh )
= 2 [ ( 4 × 2 ) + ( 2 × 2 ) + ( 4 × 2 ) ]
= 2 ( 8 + 4 + 8 )
= 2 × 20
= 40cm²
hope this helps..!!
