The ratio of the volume will be - 3:1.

Given data :

Diameter ratio = 3:1

Let,variable x

First diameter = 3x

Second diameter = x

Height ratio = 1:3

Let, variable y

First height = y

Second height = 3y

So,

First cylinder's volume = π×(3x/2)²×y

Second cylinder's volume = π×(x/2)²×3y

Ratio = {π×(9x²/4)×y} : {π×(x²/4)×3y}

={π×(9x²/4)×y} / {π×(x²/4)×3y}

= (9x²/4)/(3x²/4)

= 3/1

= 3:1 (answer)
