2.The process of fertilization involves a sperm fusing with an ovum.The sperm plasma then fuses with the egg's plasma membrane, triggering the sperm head to disconnect from its flagellum as the egg travels down the Fallopian tube to reach the uterus.

3.A complete change of form (as part of natural development)is known as metamorphosis.

Examples:-tadpole,Butterflies, grasshoppers, mosquitoes, frogs and salamanders etc

1) Fertilization is the process of fusion of male gamete ( sperm ) and female gamete ( ovum ) is known as fertilization.

STEPS :-

  • The process of fertilization takes place in the opening part of oviduct.
  • Since , this process takes place inside the reproductive system of female , this process is called as internal fertilization.
  • In this process , nuclei of the the sperm and the egg cell fuses together to form the resulting cell called 'zygote'.

2) Metamorphosis is the biological phenomenon in which an organism physically gets matured after it's birth , involving drastic changes in the organism's body formation through cell growth and the process of differentiation.

  • Example - The conversion of Larva into an adult frog.
  • This process can be also be seen in the amphibians.
