The French society was divided into 3 estate in the 18 century and they are :-
1) Clergy
2) Nobility
3) Third estate( it did not have any name so it is known as the third estate only).
The members of the 3 rd estate only paid taxes and the member's of the 1st and 2nd estate were given relief from paying any sort of tax......

1st estate included the priests of Church
2nd estate included the nobleman and King's family.
