Answer:

The Area of of complete figure = 60 + 60 + 240

                                                   = 360cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

In ΔCDE, CD = DE = 13cm

-> The perpendiculars on the non-congruent side, will bisect the side in an Isoseles Triangle.

= CG = EG = 5cm

∴ CD² = DG² + EG² (By Phythagoras Theorem)

= 13² = DG² + (CG² = 5²)

= 169 = DG² + 25

= DG² = 169 - 25

= DG² = 12²

= DG = 12

∴ Area of ΔCDE = 1/2 x CE  x DG

= 1/2 x 10 x 12

= 60 cm²

∴ Area of ΔAFB = Area pf ΔCDE

= 60 cm² (Both are Congruent Triangles)

∴ Area of ₙBCEF = BC x CE

                            = 24 x 10

                             = 240 cm²

∴ The Area of complete figures = 60 + 60 + 240

                                                    = 360cm
