2. Determine the range of values for the magnitude of P so that magnitude of the resultant force does not exceed 2500N. Force P is always directed to the right.​

The resultant force R= 2500 N

To find:

Determine range of values of P

Solution:

Let the force magnitudes at x-axis

Fx=P + 600 . cos(45) -1500. cos(75)

Fx=P+ 36.0355

Now the force magnitude along y axis

Fy= 1500. sin(45) + 600. sin(75)

Fy=1640.2156

Now the value of P

\sqrt{(P+36.0355)^{2} +(1640.2156)^{2}  }

So the value in between range is 1886.370< P < 2186.354
