Dear diary,
I couldn't believe my eyes for the sight I had witnessed. I knew the tales of tall men which fur on their bodies to be a part of myths and legends only. That is what my mother used to tell me when I would get scared after hearing a campfire story as a child.
I knew what I saw. I just returned from my trip to the Himalayas. I went on a trip organized by my school where I enjoyed a lot in the company of many new people and some old friends.
We were all playing spin the bottle when I was given a dare to go to the deepest part of the forest like area away between the mountain peaks away from our campsite. I complied because I didn't want to be made fun after and our chaperones were already asleep.
I walked to an unknown part when I felt somebody. I turned around to see empty space. There was no one. That is when I heard footsteps and saw a monster like figure emerging from the snow. He didn't see me thank God. I saw him cleaning himself.
It was a Yeti. He looked like an ape being almost 6.5 feet tall I presumed. I saw him and my breath caught. I stayed quiet for I didn't want to be spotted and then left quietly as soon as I could.
I still get shaken up when I relive that memory.
I will write some more later on.
