1. Human development report uses indicators like: life expectancy, literacy rate, living standard, etc. besides income to compare the countries of world. On the other hand, World Bank uses income as the only indicator to compare the countries.

2. Human development report has a broader concept while World Bank uses a narrower concept.

3. Human development report gives countries HDI rank whereas World Bank classifies country as rich or poor countries.
