Shifting Agriculture : It is a subsistence type of agriculture. It needs very less investment. Plantation Agriculture : It is a commercial type of agriculture. It needs huge investment.

Shifting cultivation: The process in which the farmer shifts his cultivation process form already harvested farm to a new farm it is called as shifting cultivation. The yield obtained through this mode of cultivation is for self-consumption.
