this arrangement, if any one of the component stops working,then the circuit gets broken up and none of the device will work.
All the appliances have only one switch due to which they cannot be turned on or off separately.
The appliances do not get the same voltage (220V) as that of the power supply line.

✔The First disadvantage is that, If one component in a series circuit fails, then all the components in the circuit fail because the circuit has been broken.
✔ The second disadvantage is that the more components there are in a series circuit, the greater the circuit's resistance.
