Plans are a set of two-dimensional diagrams or drawings used to describe a place or object, or to communicate building or fabrication instructions.
2. Large scale maps typically show more detail than small scale maps, whereas on smaller scale maps there is simply not enough room to show all the available detail, so features such as streams and roads often have to be represented as single lines, and area features like cities, have to be shown as points.
3. A political map focuses on boundaries between entities, like countries, states or counties. They are generally brighter colors to easily distinguish the boundaries. A physical map focuses on the geography of the area and will often have shaded relief to show the mountains and valleys.
