the reaction with the equation. If zinc does not reacts with some specific acids,
then give its reason.

Answer:
Yes, zinc evolve H2 when reacts with Dil. HCl.
Zinc + HCl gives ZnCl2 +H2
But, Zn does not evolve H2 when reacted by HNO3. It evolves different forms of gases like NO2,N2O etc.
hope this helps you

Yes...zinc evolves H2 gas when it reacts with dilute HCl as well as HNO3
Zn + HCl → ZnCl2 + H2
Zinc reacts with dilute nitric acid to give zinc nitrate and hydrogen gas.
Zinc + nitric acid → Zinc nitrate + hydrogen
Zn(s)+2HNO 3 (aq)→Zn(NO3 ) 2 (aq)+H2(g)
But if reaction proceeds forward then zinc does not react with nitric acid because Nitric acid is a strong oxidising agent. It oxidises the hydrogen gas formed by the reaction of zinc with nitric acid to water and itself gets reduced to an oxide.
