1) D is -ve ,so there are no real solution.

D=b²-4ac

=-28

2) D is -ve ,so no real roots

D=(-root3)²_4ac = -5

3) D is -ve, no real roots

D= -11

4)D is -ve no real roots

D = -36

Answer:

roots are not real in any of equation .

Step-by-step explanation:

1) discriminant(D) =b^2 -4*a*c

on comparing given equation with ax^2+b x+c =0,we get,

a=8,b=2,c=1,

D =2^2-4*8*1

D=-28 ,therefore roots are imaginary.

2) D= √3^2-4*2*1=-5

roots are imaginary.

3)D=(-7^2)-4*3*5=-11,

therefore roots are imaginary.

4)D=(-4^2)-4*1*13=-36,

roots are imaginary.

because D <0 in all cases.
