(b)A secular state is an idea pertaining to secularity, whereby a state is or purports to be officially neutral in matters of religion, supporting neither religion nor irreligion.

(c)Fundamental rights are those rights which are essential for intellectual, moral and spiritual development of citizens of India. As these rights are fundamental or essential for existence and all-round development of individuals, they are called 'Fundamental rights'.

(d)All the people irrespective of the states or territories in which they reside are the citizens of the country. This is unlike USA, where a citizen is a citizen of USA and the state in which he/she resides
