Answer:

Factors of a) (p-5) & (6p+5) b) 7,(3y-5z)² & (6y-10z+1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Factorise a) 6p(p-5) +5(p-5) b) 14(3y-5z)³ + 7(3y-5z)²

Solution :

a) 6p(p-5) +5(p-5)

On opening the brackets, we get

= 6p²-30p +5p-25

= 6p²-25p-25

Splitting the middle term -25p into -30p & 5p

= 6p²-30p+5p-25

= 6p(p-5)+5(p-5)

= (p-5)(6p+5)

b) 14(3y-5z)³ + 7(3y-5z)²

Taking 7(3y-5z)² common in both terms, we get

=7(3y-5z)² x (2(3y-5z)+1)

=7(3y-5z)²(6y-10z+1)
