WE KNOW THAT IF THE ZEROS OF THE POLYNOMIAL ARE GIVEN THE STANDARD FORM IS:

x²-(α+β)x+(αβ)

therefore;

the polunomial would be:

x²-1/4*x+(-1)

x²-x/4-1

to eliminate 4 from the denominator multiply each term by 4

4x²-x-4
