SOLUTION

GIVEN

The co-ordinate of point P = 7 and Q = - 4.

TO DETERMINE

d(P,Q)

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the co-ordinate of point P = 7 and Q = - 4

Since co-ordinates of A and B are of different sign

So Both lies in opposite side of the origin

Also 7 > - 4

Hence the required d(P,Q)

 \sf = |Q - P|

 \sf = | - 4- 7|

 \sf = | - 11|

 \bf = 11

FINAL ANSWER

Hence d(P,Q) = 11
