Given :–

  • Investment of 4,500 for two years at 5 paise per rupee.

To Find :–

  • The amount from the investment of Rs. 4,500 for two years at 5 paise per rupee.

Solution :–

We know that,

100 paise = 1 rupee

According to the question,

We need to convert 5 paise into rupee.

For converting paise into rupee, we need to divide the paise by 100 because 100 paise means 1 rupee so we need to convert paise into rupee so, this is the method to convert paise into rupee.

Therefore,

 \frac{5}{100}

→ Rs. 0.05

So, 5 paise = 0.05 rupee.

  • Interest will be paise per rupee = 0.05 rupee.

If interest will be paid for 1 rupee = 0.05 rupee.

For Rs. 4,500 interest will be paid = 4500 × Interest will be paise per rupee

→ 4500 × 0.05

→ Rs. 225

  • Interest will be paid for Rs. 4500 = Rs. 225

For 2 years,

The interest will be paid = Rs. 4,500 interest will be paid × time

So,

→ 225 × 2

→ Rs. 450

  • Interest will be paid for 2 years = 450.

Now, we have to find the final amount.

For finding the final amount we need to add the principal amount and interest.

I.e. Final amount = principal amount + interest

→ 4,500 + 450

→ 4,950

Hence,

Final amount from the investment of Rs. 4,500 would be Rs. 4,950.
