2. Find the capacity of a rectangular cistern whose length is 6 m, breadth 2.5 m and depth 1.4 m.
Also find the area of the iron sheet required to make the cistern.
(Hint: Area of iron sheet required = Total surface area of the cistern)​

Answer:

Capacity of cistern= volume of rectangular cistern

=L×B×H

=6×2.5×1.4

=21m

Area of iron sheet required = T.S.A of cuboid=2(lb+bh+lh)

=2(15+3.5+8.4)=53.8m
