ARRANGE IN ASCENDING ORDER FIRST

18 , 23 , 27, 35, 39, 40 , 42

the no. of observations(n) = 7

The counting no . of observations is odd i.e; 7

therefore, median = (n+1) / 2 = (7 + 1) / 2 = 8/ 2 = 4

it means the fourth number is the median i.e; 35.

MEDIAN = 35
