17

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of rectangle = 15 cm

Length of diagonal = 17 cm

Breadth of rectangle = ?

Perimeter = ?

So by making a diagonal two triangles are formed in rectangle.

And as we can see it is a right angled triangle and its 2 sides are given and one is remaining so we can find that third side by Pythagoras Theorem

Perpendicular = 15 cm

Hypotenuse = 17 cm

Base = ?

Base² = Hypotenuse² - Perpendicular²

Base² = 17²-15²

Base² = 289-225

Base² = 64

Base = √64

Base = 8 cm

Hence , Length = 15 cm     Breadth = 8 cm

Perimeter = 2 (l+b)

                 = 2 (15+8)

                = 2×23

                 = 46 cm

May the answer will help uu!!!!
