Question :- Find the Quotient 4.380 ÷ 1.2 ?

Solution :-

write in the form of (p/q) and solve further,

→ 4.380 can be written as = (4380/1000) = (438/100)

→ 1.2 can be written as = (12/10)

Now,

(438/100) ÷ (12/10)

→ (438/100) / (12/10)

Numerator and denominator will change when we put multiply sign in between,

→ (438/100) * (10/12)

(one zero of denominator will be cancel from 10) .

→ (438) / (10 * 12)

→ (2 * 219) / (2 * 5 * 12)

(2 will be cancel) .

→ (219) / (5 * 12)

→ (3 * 73) / (5 * 4 * 3)

(3 will be cancel.)

→ (73/20)

→ 73 ÷ 20

→ 73 = 20 * 3 + 13

Hence, Quotient will be 3.
