Given : equilateral triangle ∆ABC whose one side is parallel to y -axis.

To Find :   slope of sides

Solution:

Slope of line  parallel to y axis is  1/0

as angle with x axis is 90 °

other two lines will be inclined at angle of 60°

Hence angle = 90° - 60°  = 30°

and 90° + 60° = 150°

Slope = Tan 30° = 1/√3

Tan 150° = -1/√3

Slope of lines =   1/√3 ,  -1/√3 and 1/0 (∞ )
