 \huge\frac{5}{4}

Explanation-

Slope =  \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

for some points

(x_1,y_1 ) and (x_2,y_2)

Slope =   \frac{- 8 - ( - 3)}{ - 6 - ( - 2)}

 \implies \frac{ - 8 + 3}{ - 6 + 2}

\implies \frac{ - 5}{ - 4}

\implies \frac{ \cancel - 5}{  \cancel- 4}

\implies \frac{  5}{ 4}

  • Find the slopes of the lines passing through the given points.

L (-2,-3) , M (-6,-8).

\large\boxed{\textsf{\textbf{\red{Answer \::-}}}}

L \:  (x_{1},y_{1}) = L ( - 2, - 3) \: and \:  M( x_{2},y_{2}) = M ( - 6, - 8)

Here,

x_{1} =  - 2,x_{2} =  - 6 =  - 3 =  - 8

slope of line LM

 = (y_{2} - y _{1})/(x_{2} - x_{1})

 = ( - 8( - 3))/( - 6( - 2)) = ( - 8 + 3)/( - 6 + 2)

 =  - 5/ - 4 = 5/4

therefore,

the slope of LM = 5/4
