Answer:

Given,

p(y) = y² - 5y + 6

y = - 2

To Find :-

Value of the polynomial

Solution :-

Substituting value of 'y' in p(y)

y = - 2

p(y) = y² - 5y + 6

\sf\implies p( - 2) = (-2)² - 5 (-2) + 6

p(-2) = (4) + 5(2) + 6

p(-2) = 4 + 10 + 6

p(-2) = 20

\sf\therefore value of the polynomials p(y) = y² - 5y + 6 at y = - 2 is 20.
